Parker Global Strategies (PGS) provides both institutional and private clients with a broad spectrum of custom tailored Alternative Investment Strategies including foreign exchange, hedge funds, managed futures and energy infrastructure. The Firm has advised on the placement of over US$2.5 billion since its inception in 1995. In addition to a deep understanding of the most widely used hedge fund strategies, PGS has developed expertise in energy & global natural resources, environmental investing, water and Master Limited Partnerships (MLP).

PGS  has provided advisory and discretionary management services to institutional clients since 1996 and developed a reputation for innovative, custom-tailored solutions. Clients have included international banks, pension funds, and investment advisory firms across the globe. In 1992, Virginia Parker developed and launched the Parker FX Index which today is considered one of the major benchmarks for the performance of FX managers. In 2004, the firm launched a fully transparent FoHF, one of a few that is still available today and  in 2008, the firm launched one of the first  specialist, multi-manager Energy and Infrastructure (MLP) Funds.

The firm was one of the early risk practioners to establish a risk methodology based on position level transparency through managed accounts. Today, PGS employs a rigorous investment process, combining both quantitative and qualitative measurements to create customized portfolios that meet our clients' specific risk and return objectives. PGS also provides ongoing risk management services, utilizing the industry's best practices to monitor managers and portfolios. 

More recently in April 2009, PGS launched a joint venture with BlackTree Investment Group to develop indexes and investable products for foreign exchange, including the Parker BlackTree Currency Index which combines a manager based index (PGS) with a systematic currency markets approach commonly used in the major bank indices (BlackTree). We believe the Index is the first hybrid of its kind designed to track the returns available to investors in the global currency markets from exposure to various market themes as well as investment in defined, active management styles.  PGS has 24 professionals located in Stamford, Chicago and Denver in the US and globally in Tokyo, Shanghai and Sao Paulo.
